The global digital economy is undergoing significant transformation, with major strategic initiatives underway in several countries, notably in Morocco, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia. These initiatives primarily focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and aim to transform local economies into catalysts for digital growth. Malaysia, for example, is set to adopt an AI governance bill that could attract foreign investment and enhance the country's competitiveness. Similarly, Morocco is focusing on citizen-centered AI to strengthen its digital sovereignty. Concurrently, Sri Lanka and Oman have launched ambitious strategies to multiply their digital economy by five by 2030 and to achieve the goals of Vision 2040, respectively.
