New Partnership to Introduce Smart Robots in Hazardous Work Environments
ADLINK Technology has announced a strategic partnership with Under Control Robotics to integrate cutting-edge AI technology into industrial robotics. This collaboration, involving ADLINK’s edge AI platforms and Noble Machines’ autonomy software, aims to create human-like robots designed to operate in some of the most dangerous work environments.
Aiming for Safety and Efficiency
The primary goal of this partnership is to replace human workers in hazardous settings across various industries, including:
- Manufacturing: Targeted for its demanding operational environments.
- Mining: Identified due to labor shortages and perilous conditions.
- Construction: An area where smart robots can undertake challenging tasks.
- Energy and Petrochemicals: Sectors requiring innovative solutions to manage risky operations.
- Public Utilities: Highlighted for potential impact by these AI-driven solutions.
Leveraging Advanced Technology
The robots will be powered by ADLINK’s DLAP edge AI platforms, which are built on NVIDIA's Jetson Thor hardware. This ensures that the robots possess the necessary mobility, reasoning, and real-time decision-making capabilities to function effectively in dynamic and hazardous environments.
Under Control Robotics, through its subsidiary Noble Machines, contributes its whole-body control software, allowing the robots to perform tasks with human-like dexterity and autonomy.
